I ordered Bird House earlier this month and it's such a sweet story. On a snowy walk, a girl and her abuela find an injured bird. Together the girl and her abuela help take care of the bird until it's happily flying around the house. Opening the window, the girl's abuela releases the bird back into its natural habitat. In the spring, a welcome visitor arrives! While the girl asks if they can keep the bird, her abuela gently reminds her that the bird isn't theirs. The bird is welcome to visit anytime though...and that is what it does. A board book with beautiful illustrations and simple text, Bird House is bound to stay in a child's heart and mind long after the board book phase has ended.
